Ladies and Gentlemen,
Hello! My name is Steve Lewington. On behalf of myself and Explosive Nutrition, I'd like to take this time to welcome you to the site and thank you for your patronage.
The purpose of this blog-site was to create an official forum for customers of Explosive nutrition and fitness enthusiasts to expand and share their knowledge base pertaining to all areas of sport and fitness. In this blog I hope to cover a comprehensive array of topics - from training principles, nutrition and supplementation, to gym etiquette, mental preparation and how physical training can improve all areas of your life.
And now you may be asking yourself - "So who the heck is Steve Lewington?"
First, I'd like to make clear from the very beginning that I do not consider myself an "Expert" in any particular field of study. I (currently) hold no certificates, diplomas, pHd's or Nobel awards. With that being said, what qualifies me to write a blog for Explosive Nutrition is my hands-on experience in the field of sports fitness and competitive sports...or sports-entertainment.
For the past seven years, I have been training and working as a Professional Wrestler - both in the U.K., but also mainly abroad in the United States. I have been British Heavyweight Champion "Steve Sonic" for All-Star Wrestling, and most recently, a former employee of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. - former WWE Superstar "DJ Gabriel".
The age-old argument of "Is it real or fake?" is yesterday's news. Today, there is now world-wide acceptance that it is entertainment that provides unmatched athleticism and physicality at an outstanding value to the public. Personally, it was a tremendously rewarding experience to be part of a company of the scale of WWE and I considered it an honour and a privilege every time I stepped into the ring.
It may seem like I've ventured off on a nostalgic tangent, but I'll get back to the point that qualifies me to talk physical fitness: The WWE has been, and always will be, a very physique oriented business. People pay to see the extraordinary - both in athleticism and physicality. The competitive nature of the company meant that You had to be at your best all the time. There is no off-season to being a pro-wrestler. Though my career was relatively short-lived, my physical conditioning was regarded by my trainers and peers as exceptional.
Since leaving the WWE back in January of this year, I have decided to relaunch my career in a new direction. I am pursuing a career as a personal trainer as well as doing professional modelling for various sports and fitness agencies. I have also placed 2nd in the Muscle & Body 'Best Body' contest that was held at the prestigious Arnold Sports Festival in Colombus, Ohio USA earlier this year. It is my intention to continue to compete in fitness competitions back home in the U.K.
So, once again, I welcome you to the pilot blog for Explosive Nutrition. I apologise if it felt a little long-winded, but I felt it important that You, the reader, should have an idea of who I am, and to judge my views and opinions on my merits and experience to date. I look forward to getting started properly in next weeks blog, so until then, good luck with your training.
